TAKING BOOKINGS FOR 2023.24

After a turbulent few years, we have scaled down to just one chalet for the Ski season 2023.24 ensuring great quality service. We would suggest you being very quick to book as we have many people already enquiring and a plethora of repeat bookings. The other changes will be that payments will be in Euro going forward and that this will be done online, reserving the whole chalet. No individual bookings for individual rooms will be taken.

This page clarifies everything you need to know about booking your ski holiday with us at Alpine Breaks.

Our aim is to ensure your stay is completely hassle-free, relaxing and the most enjoyable it can be!

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

Please email Darren@alpinebreaks.com or call on 0033 450 736871

You can reserve your accommodation with Alpine Breaks with no obligation here on our website.

We do not confirm your holiday until we have received your deposit. If you do wish to book, we take a deposit of €100 per person or the full payment if your holiday is within then next 10 weeks. Payment will be taken online.

On receipt of your deposit or full payment, we will email you a Booking Confirmation, with a full breakdown of your holiday details and costs. If you have paid a deposit, the balance will be due 10 weeks prior to your arrival.

Please note that a Tourist Tax is charged in resort ranges from €1.50 – €2.30 per adult depending on which chalet you stay at. Children are free from this tax.

Transfers to/from Geneva airport are €200 each way additional cost for 1-8 people. Additional people will be €55pp each way. Whilst we aim to be at the airport to pick you up immediately upon your arrival, there are circumstances where you will have to wait for a short time. Thank you for your understanding and patience. We recommend that all flights arrive before 3pm or a subsequent charge maybe applicable but also this allows you to relax into your holiday in resort in plenty of time. Any flights arriving after 6pm will mean that you do not arrive at the chalet in time for dinner and therefore will mean you have to eat before you arrive or eat out in the village.

Getting to Geneva airport from the UK is relatively cheap and easy. We usually allow an hour from when you land to getting into the minibus. It is then an average 90 mins journey to Chatel south around Lake Geneva.

The main ski transfer companies we use in Chatel would be www.abchateltransfers.com

Arrival/Departure flights we recommend to be within the hours of 0930hrs to 1500hrs to avoid any additional costs. Individuals flying in at separate times from main groups may also incur additional costs applied by the transfer company. For any clarity of costs for transfers, these should be established at the same point as booking your holiday to avoid any confusion. Thank you for your understanding.

Full flight details and passenger details are required. This also includes ages of any children whom may need booster or child seats.

As of April 2014, Chalet Owners are now required to conform to an EU regulation preventing them from collecting their clients at the airport unless they have a CPC qualification. We employ only services who are legally able to fulfil this duty. On some occasions we employ the services of other transfer companies.

Groups arriving at GVA airport after 1530hrs at the chalet will not be provided with an evening meal as unlikely to arrive in resort at a respectable time. Groups not arriving at the same time may incur extra cost if taking separate transfers. Additional cost to provide a service for several journey’s will apply in these circumstances. If there are more or less than 8 people staying in your chalet, there is a possibility you will be required to be flexible about your departure timings to coincide with others and share a transfer. On rare occasions, you may be asked to wait for other flights to arrive or depart earlier than you would like. Be aware that there are certain weeks in the season which are very busy. These include holiday periods but also certain March dates when the Geneva car show is on.

If you would like a definitive time (Private Transfer) for leaving or to be collected immediately at the airport with no waiting around, please inform us at time of booking so these arrangements can be made. An additional cost will be applied. Alternative transfer companies may be contracted to fulfil the task of transferring you to/from Chatel. If you have any questions regarding your transfers to/from Chatel, please enquire and we will assist you in clarifying if additional charges apply or not. Our decision is final. If your transfer is delayed due to bad weather or other circumstances, you are asked to remain patient and flexible as all efforts will be made to get you to your destination as soon as possible.

If your flight is delayed more than 2 hours, we have the right to abort the transfer with no refund and you will have to claim from your insurance company. We will then assist in making a new reservation for a transfer as soon as practicable which will be charged additionally. If your flight is delayed a surcharge will be made for each hour after the first, the driver is expected to wait at the airport. Whilst every care is taken, we will not accept responsibility for any damage caused to your property during the journey or for example you are late for your flight due to mechanical failure, accidents or traffic. You must have adequate insurance to cover such possibility. Check out time from our chalets is 0930hrs as it is often necessary to prepare the chalet for incoming groups the same day. No facility is made for showering or changing after this time.
